Hard Softness
This was my bachelor’s degree project at Konstfack, where I explored the combination of textiles and glass and began developing an approach to working with these two very different materials together.
The project was inspired by fashion and haute couture, particularly the way fabric can be shaped, constructed and given volume. I was also interested in the tactile qualities of textiles and how these qualities could be translated into glass.
By combining the softness and flexibility of textiles with the solidity and permanence of glass, I explored the contrast between the two materials and how they can influence and transform one another.
