This was my first attempt at creating glass works using textiles as the original forms. I explored how the structure, folds and softness of the textile could be translated into glass, creating a contrast between the two materials.

The works were brought together through an underwater theme, where the textile-inspired glass forms take on an organic and almost floating quality. The project became an early exploration of the relationship between softness and hardness, and between the familiar qualities of textiles and the transformative nature of glass.
